ACHA Town Hall: Super PAC: Post-acute care spaces that enhance patient flow

The speakers will present a comprehensive overview of the upcoming changes in the 2026 FGI Facility Code, focusing on its transition from a guideline to a formal codebook and its additions regarding post-acute care spaces in healthcare facilities. Participants will explore the details of new post-acute care spaces in both inpatient and outpatient settings and understand the code’s guidance for their effective utilization. The course will also cover strategies for collaborating with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure proper socialization and implementation of these new guidelines in healthcare facility design. Questions and input from the audience will be encouraged.

Current ACHA certificant attendees will earn 1 AIA LU/HSW.
